Billa

Wow.. yesterday i watched "Billa" a Tamil movie acted by Ajith Kumar. The movie is really awsome it swings like a holywood flick. Well what else i could say the crew are fantastic.. hats-off to vishnuvardhan. I really like the part where a whole flock of Police SWAT team bust in to catch billa after they found out his whereabouts, it reminds me of some high grossing holywood movie, the background score and the music by Yuvan is rocking. Worth watching the movie..

Happy Ponggal..

Haa.. today is ponggal celebration. Entire malaysian hindu's celebrate ponggal today. Im not sure how to elaborate the meaning of the pongal but here are a small excerpt i catch from the net.

"Pongal is one of the most popular harvest festival of South India, mainly Tamil Nadu. Pongal falls in the mid-January every year and marks the auspicious beginning of Uttarayan - sun's journey northwards. Pongal festival lasts for four days. Celebrations include drawing of Kolam, swinging & cooking of delicious Pongal."

Yesterday was a bit buzy day for me. Well buying fruits, flowers bring my mom to vegetable market. All this for the ponggal celebration. Well the festive is not recognize in malaysia, but in India its a 3 straight holidays for most of the state.

Well my mom gets long 2 sugarcane, courtesy of my neighbours own planting efford. The price of sugarcane is RM10 in Penang esp butterworth area so my mom gets this idea of cost saving efford hahahaha... Then i helped her to tie manggo plant leaves at the house entrance and also clean up the house a bit. All this i did after back from office yesterday... man that was tiring.

Anyway today as the pongal day itself, my mom will be cooking quite variety of delicasies. Be it the curry or the ponggal itself it would be an added speacial. Me being a vegetarian food lover for sure not going to miss this fiesta.. kekekeke....

Oh and certainly during my shopping yesterday, i was at this Indian store at Chulia Street in penang which sells wide variety of Indian tradisional dress's. I went there as im planned to buy myself a "Jippa" (also called as Kurta). Guess what is the intresting part. I saw an amazed Jippa which the price tag is RM200. but..... the guy who sell the dress crushed the price to Rm60.... suprise eh.... well i must say there is 2 factor for it. 1. My mom is a regular customer at the shop, she used to purchase saree at the same shop. 2. Out timming.. hehehehe we went to the shop at shutdown time. To indians its not wise or appropriate for the business man to turn down the last amount of cash coming in as it would be a bad omen. So i got the dress for 60.. smart eh.. errrrr i should say... "My mom is smart eh" kekekeke... well good begining of the month of Thai for me :P

New guy on the block..

Im a proud uncle now.. haha.. My Uncle's (my mom's brother) wife delivered a sweet baby boy on Sunday at 1:08am. Im eager to see him.. well mon and sis have allready went to the hospital to see the baby.. emmm im not yet...
Well there is a talk at my house that since both my uncle and his wife are working.. there maybe a chance my mom will help raise/care take the baby. Things can change.. lets c how it goes :)

Ahh.. my 2nd sem started.. i would be off for Internet Programming and Networking subj.. eager to start them.. my brain is fresh like a new brought DVD-RW ready to accept data hahaha...

Lunch break + 50th blogey

Heh today is my 50th blogey.. haha... i should celebrate the silver jubilee.. yay... hahahahaha..

Ok.. today i went out to lunch with my work couleges. We went to Queensbay Jusco at Penang for a nice Indian muslim delicousiy (hope i spell it rite. :P) the food is called nasi kandar. A must to have for anyone visiting Penang. The curry, the vegetables, the chicken.. will make u go gaga and wanting to have more and more... even sometimes can make u go addicted.. well.. we (4 of us) went there for lunch today as friday's are 2 hours lunch break.

After our meal we went to Queensbay shopping mall for fun.. checkout some candid new gadget phones, books, shoes and whatever we came across.. well didnt buy anything cause the price of course hefty expensive. Person like me with tight budget spent less on those in the mall cause.. i prefer saving rather then expend :) thats me.. haha

Haa.. i came across camera pamphlet too.. hmmm camera prices seems reduced.. well let me c if i can get one by this year.. hopefully.. :)

New Year.. New Start

Its new year.. new start of life... :)
I dont feel anything speacial... only the numbers have changed... from 7 to 8.. nothing else.
life still the same...
its 8:24 in Penang... at my office in Intel.. im sitting and bloging.. and web surfing before start my work.. hmmm welcome 2008...
